Ob das etwas mit dem Zwang/Drang zur „Selbstoptimierung“ zu tun hat? Mit der Entwertung lange gültiger Werte? Heute ist ja jeder ein Künstler. Dieses Bedürfnis, sich auszudrücken, wird auch über die Medien verteilt und über die Leute gebracht. Einen Höhepunkt erreichte dies mit Josph Beuys’ Aussage, dass ja jeder ein Künstler sein könne. Doch: Warum sich ausdrücken, warum nicht das Universum? Sich selbst dermaßen wichtig nehmen? Es könnte ja sein, dass man in einem größeren Zusammenhang steht. Die Malerei kommt ja mal vom Religiösen her, hatte darin ihren Zweck. Es sollte Himmel und Hölle, Gutes und Böses, Gott und Teufel so veranschaulicht werden, das es jeder verstehen möge. Es gab eine Art Bildsprache, die einen Zweck hatte. Vermittlung zu „einfachen Leuten“, die der Schrift nicht mächtig waren. Dieser Zweck kam mit der Zeit abhanden und wurde mit der Zeit zum Selbstzweck. Es gab später dann das romantische Modell einer „progressiven Universalpoesie“ (nach F Schlegel), in der sich wechselnde Wirklichkeiten so durchdringen, dass die vulgäre materielle Wirklichkeit überwunden wird. Es gab aber auch Picasso, der einer Selbstschöpfung und Selbstvernichtung nachhing, die ihre eigene Reflexion ständig überholt und dadurch dem Grenzenlosen Absoluten entgegen strebt. Dadurch entstand nur ein Scheingegensatz zur Romantik. Subjektives und Objektives vermischen sich. Imagination und Unterbewusstsein wirken zusammen. Nur: das kann und will nicht jeder nachvollziehen. Es entsteht eine Schwierigkeit der Vermittlung. Eine kleine Zelle der „Wissenden“ bildet sich, Kunst wird zunehmend elitär und eine Sache der sich nun immer rascher etablierenden „Kunsttempel“, oft in Gestalt von Museen, die zu einem wichtigen Inventar des Bildungsbürgertums werden. x Does that have anything to do with the compulsion/urge to “self-optimize”? There is a difficulty in mediation. A small cell of “those in the know” is formed, art is becoming increasingly elitist and a matter for the “art temples” that are now being established more and more quickly, often in the form of museums, which are becoming an important inventory of the educated middle class.
